SSC NR has uploaded the admit cards of all the applicants for Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) examination. The exam is set to commence from April 30 and the applicants are required to get a hold of the SSC MTS admit card for taking the exam. The candidates who have selected their examination center in Delhi, Rajasthan or Uttarakhand can download the admit card from SC NR website to know their exact exam date and venue. The exam will be OMR based and will be organized at multiple test centers in Delhi, Ajmer, Alwar, Bharatpur, Bikaner, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota, Sriganganagar, Udaipur, Almora, Dehradun, Haldwani, and Srinagar (under SSC Northern Region).
On December 30 last year, Staff Selection Commission (SSC) notified to fill approx. 8,300 vacancies of Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff in different States and UTs under its 9 Regional Offices. Out of the notified vacancies, maximum vacancies (3,186) fall under the SSC Northern Region Office. These vacancies are further reserved as 1,071 for OBC, 179 for SC and 205 for ST, leaving the rest for general category candidates. Owing to such a large number of vacancies and only matriculation as minimum educational qualification requirement, lakhs of aspirants have applied for the exam.
The applicants belonging to SSC Northern Region can access SSC MTS admit card from official website www.sscnr.net.in. The authorities had earlier announced that the admit cards will be available from April 17 and keeping the schedule intact, the same has been done today. There are three options for the applicants to download the admit card; by using Registration ID and Date of Birth; by using Roll number and date of birth; and by using Name and date of birth. The applicants can use any of the methods to get SSC MTS admit card. As notified, MTS examination will be conducted as Tier 1 and Tier 2 exams. SSC MTS Tier 1 examination is scheduled to be held on April 30, May 14 & 28 and June 4 & 11, while Tier 2 exam (descriptive) is tentatively scheduled for December 17, 2017. The Tier 1 exam will carry 150 marks distributed among four sections:
- General Intelligence & Reasoning – 25 questions
- Numerical Aptitude – 25 questions
- General English – 50 questions
- General Awareness – 50 questions
SSC MTS exam will be administered in two shifts – 10 am to 12 noon and 2 pm to 4 pm. The candidates can get to know about their shift timing and test venue from SSC MTS admit card.
