SSC extends last date for CHSL 2017 online application, once again

The candidates were facing difficulty in submission of application forms, hence SSC decided to further extend the closing date for SSC CHSL 2017 application form submission.

The last date for filling the online application form of Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) examination (CHSL 2017) has been once again extended by the Staff Selection Commission, with giving another 7 days to the aspirants. SSC released a notice stating that the closing date for filling up of online application forms for CHSL 2017 has been extended from December 20 to December 27, 5 pm.

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) had, in November, released the notification of CHSL 2017 examination and set December 18 as the closing date for filling application. On the last day, the Commission notified 2 days extension in the application process, however, the inability of the server (of Commission’s website) to handle the heavy traffic forced SSC to further extend the last date. This time, SSC has extended the last date for CHSL 2017 online application by one week.

The aspirants can now fill the online application forms for SSC CHSL 2017 up to 5 pm on December 27. The extension has been given in the view of many candidates facing problems in submission of application forms.

Last date for fee payment: In the notice, SSC has further mentioned that the candidates making payment through challan will be able to make the payment using challan up to December 29. In such cases, the candidates will have to pay the exam fee at the designated branches of SBI within the working hours of Bank up to December 29. The applicants will have to pay Rs. 100 as exam fee. Women candidates and candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwD, and Ex-Servicemen are exempted from payment of the fee.

SSC notice also mentions that this extension is last in regard to the last date for submission of CHSL 2017 online application form. “The candidates may please note that no further extension of time will be given under any circumstances beyond 27.12.2017 (5.00 pm) for submission of online application form”, the notice reads.

SSC will conduct the CHSL Tier 1 exam in multiple shifts from March 4 to 26. The exam will be conducted as an Online test and the candidates will get to know their exam date & timing from the admit card issued by SSC. The Tier 2 descriptive paper will be conducted by SSC on July 8. SSC plans to fill approx. 3,259 posts of Lower Division Clerk, Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant, Data Entry Operator through CHSL 2017 examination.
