Staff Selection Commission (SSC) recently released the official notification for Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination, 2015, the notification was much awaited by the Government job aspirants. The notification for CHSL 2015 exam was published in the Employment News dates 13 June and the applications are invited from eligible candidates across the Country till 13 July. The exam will be conducted in three dates, 1, 15 & 22 November.
All the candidates will be shortlisted for Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant, Date Entry Operator (DEO) and Lower Division Clerk (LDC), available vacancies are 3523, 2049 and 1006 respectively. Interested candidates having age between 18 to 27 years (as on 01.08.2015) are eligible to apply, age relaxation will be applicable for reserved categories. Candidates must furnish the minimum educational qualification, 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University to appear for the exam.
The examination will consist of a Written Examination and Skill Test for the post of Data Entry Operator and Written Test and Typing Test for the post of Postal Assistant & Sorting Assistant (PA/SA) and Lower Division Clerk on Computer.
Th written exam will consist of 200 multiple-choice questions and the paper will be divided in four sections, each section will be of 50 questions. Candidates will be awarded 1 mark for each answer, while 0.25 mark will be deducted for every wrong response.
Part I – General Intelligence
Part II – English Language (Basic Knowledge)
Part III – Quantitative Aptitude Basic Arithmetic Skill
Part IV – General Awareness
The written exam will be conducted in above mentioned dates and will be of 2 hours duration to be conducted in two shifts, 10 am to 12 noon or 2 pm to 4 pm. The answer key of the written exam will be displayed at the Commission’s website.
As per the exam scheme, after the result declaration of Written exam, shortlisted candidates would be called for Skill test. “Date Entry Speed” for DEO post applicants and Typing Test for Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant & Lower Division Clerk post applicants will be taken. Skill test will be of qualifying nature.
