SSC CGL Tier 2 Admit Card Region-wise updates

SSC CGL admit card for tier-2 exam has been released by three regional offices so far, including North Eastern Region, South Region and Madhya Pradesh Region. The candidates belonging to these regions can now access their CGL tier 2 admit card from the respective websites of their regions. The other regions are expected to upload the admit card soon as SSC had notified on November 18 that the admission certificates of CGL Tier 2 will be uploaded by Regional Offices on their respective websites between 6 PM on November 18 and 6 pm on November 21. SSC CGL Tier 2 admit card for the candidates under the North Eastern Region (NER) have been released along with the list of qualified candidates. The Tier 2 exam is scheduled to be held from November 30 to December 2 across the country and as per the standard practice, all the Tier 1 qualified candidates are required to take the Tier 2 exam.

CGL Tier 2 exam is divided among four parts/papers. While Paper 1 and 2 remain compulsory for all the candidates, Paper 3 is only for those candidates who have applied for the post of Junior Statistical Officer (Grade-II)/Compiler and Paper 4 is for Assistant Audit Officer posts. As much as 14.82 lakh candidates had appeared for the CGL Tier 1 exam and 1,49,319 have been declared qualified for Tier 2 exam. Out of these, 28,234 candidates are eligible to take Paper 3 and 45,293 candidates for Paper 4.

SSC CGL Tier 2 exam is scheduled to be held in a period of three days with Paper 1 & 2 scheduled for November 30 and December 1. Paper 3 and 4 will be conducted on December 2 in two separate shifts. The exam will take place as below mentioned schedule :

  • Paper 1 – Quantitative Aptitude (10 AM to 12 Noon)
  • Paper 2 – English Language and Comprehension (2.45 PM to 4.45 PM)
  • Paper 3 – Statistics (10 AM to 12 Noon)
  • Paper 4 – General Studies (Finance and Economics) – (2.45 PM to 4.45 PM)

Each paper carries a weightage of 200 marks, hence the Tier 2 exam holds weightage of 600 marks for Junior Statistical Officer/Compiler/Assistant Audit Officer posts and 400 marks for remaining posts.

SSC CGL Admit Card – Tier 2 2016 Exam

SSC CGL admit card for Tier 2 exam is released by the Regional Offices for respective candidates registered under the offices. SSC NER has released the CGL Tier 2 admit card at its official website www.sscner.org.in. The candidates can access their admit card using their roll number.

The admit card for remaining candidates will be released by other regional offices at following websites : Northern Region (NR) at sscnr.net.in, Central Region (CR) at ssc-cr.org, Eastern Region (ER – Kolkata) at sscer.org, Western Region (WR – Mumbai) at sscwr.net, Southern Region (SR – Chennai) at sscsr.gov.in, Karnataka Kerala Region (KKR) at ssckkr.kar.nic.in, Madhya Pradesh Region (MPR) at sscmpr.org and North Western Region Chandigarh (NWR) at sscnwr.org.

SSC would also organise Tier 3 and Tier 4 exams. Tier 3 would be taken as a pen and paper based test, while Tier 4 (Data Entry Skill Test/Computer Proficiency Test) will be qualifying in nature and will be taken only for selected posts. As much as 6,315 posts under various departments are to be filled through SSC CGL 2016 exam and the final merit list will be based on the performance of the candidates in Tier 1, 2 and 3 exam.
