SSC CGL re-exam is scheduled to be held tomorrow on October 27. The re-exam is being organised as the Commission scrapped one evening shift CGL exam held on August 27.
In an official notice issued on October 14, SSC said that the re-exam for one shift would be conducted due to administrative reasons, while we had reported (along with other media sites) that the re-exam is being conducted due to cheating attempt at one test venue in Bihar. In another notice issued on the behalf of SSC Chairman dated October 19 mentioned that one such incident was reportedly correct and hence the re-exam would be conducted for the particular batch. The CGL 2016 tier-1 exam was conducted in total 44 batches from August 27 to September 11. The notice also mentioned that the rest of the exam (batches) was totally sanitised and sacrosant.
The results of CGL Tier 1 exam were initially expected to be out in the first week of October, however, it certainly did not happen. The results were being constantly pushed back and finally SSC notified that the results would be announced on November 8 as a re-exam for one particular batch is proposed. With the finalisation of the re-exam, the admit cards for particular candidates were issued on the regional websites of SSC. The re-exam would be conducted for the CGL Tier-1 exam held in the evening batch (4.15 pm to 5.30 pm) on August 28 and only those candidates who had actually appeared in the exam are being given a chance to appear for the re-exam.
