SSC CGL answer key 2016 released; Result next week on

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the answer key for Combined Graduate Level (CGL) 2016 examinations that were held during August 27 to September 11. SSC answer key for CGL tier 1 exam were issued on on Wednesday evening following a official notification.

The result of SSC CGL 2016 is expected to be declared by September-end or October first week at maximum considering the schedule for the rest of selection process.

SSCSSC CGL answer key 2016 for tier 1 exam has been published for the online exam. The exam was conducted as an online exam for the first time in which over 8 lakh candidates had appeared. The answer keys can be accessed from the official website

Combined Graduate Level Examination – CGL Tier 1 2016 exam was conducted through several days from August 27 to September 11. The candidates usually check their performance by matching their answers to the answer keys released by some unofficial sources which are most of the time almost accurate, however, the official answer key serves as an authentic source as well as it gives the candidates a chance to object to the answers compiled by the authority. As of now, the SSC CGL answer key for tier-1 exam are available and the candidates can access them by logging into the website using their respective User Id and password.

SSC has also provided online application facility for the candidates to submit their objections on the official answer keys released by the Commission. The same can be done by logging into the web portal by paying a nominal fee of Rs. 100 per answer for which a candidate wishes to object. The option of submitting the objections to SSC CGL answer key would be closed at 5 pm on September 26, so the candidates have five days to analyse the answer keys and submit objections.

Earlier this year, Staff Selection Commission had changed the exam process and decided to conduct the exam in online mode. The decision is aimed towards improving transparency and eliminating malpractices in the exam and also to speed up the evaluation process. Being one of the most popular competitive exam for graduates across the country, the exam holds immense importance among the youth as it also opens the door for them to work with Ministry of External Affairs, CAG, Income Tax Department and other departments within the government. CGL 2016 exam is being conducted to fill approx. 3,815 Group B & C posts in various Ministries/ Departments/ Organisations.

SSC CGL 2016 exam has been divided into three tiers. Tier 1 exam has been conducted, while the tier-2 exam is tentatively scheduled to be held in November. The Commission would announce the exact date for tier-2 exam after the announcement of tier-1 exam results. As per the reports, the tier-3 exam would tentatively be conducted in January, while the final result would be announced by the last week of April 2017.

The result of CGL Tier 1 exam is expected to be announced by the last week of September or first week of October as the tier-2 exam would be conducted in November. The Commission is expected to wind up the formalities related to tier-1 exam as soon as possible to avoid any delay in rest of the exam process.
