Short Service Commission has now announced its CGL Tier 1 result 2014 for the written examination that was conducted dated 19 October, 26 October and 16 November 2014 throughout the country. The SSC CGL results has recently been published just yesterday following the official notification of result declaration by SSC at its official website. The merit list which is now available at website contains the list of qualified candidates who will now be appearing for Tier 2 examination, bound to be conducted later this year.
Facts About Tier 1 Exam:
Reportedly, a total of 1,50,399 aspirants have cleared the Tier I written exam (including the ones who chose Statistical/compiler/Post preference Blank) out of the about 13 lakh who took the exam. These will be heading to take Tier 2 exam now. Short Service Commission will soon detail candidates about the Tier II examination through its official online portal, so it would be suggestible to keep track of the same.
Since there were already re-scheduling for the exam in Vishakhapatnam, where the exam was then held on 16 November 2014, there were a lot of speculations regarding the announcement dates and was estimated to come out by the end of January 2015. The exam was also re-conducted at Jaipur on 18th January 2015, pushing the result declaration further late. However, no press releases were held by SSC nor students were informed through website until the result for the SSC CGL Tier 1 exam was ultimately declared yesterday on 5 March 2015 late night.
