SSC CGL 2016 Marks Out For Tier 1 On, Check Them Here

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released SSC-CGL 2016 marks to candidates who took tier 1 exam. SSC CGL Tier 1 marks have been uploaded by the Commission at its official website CGL Tier 1 2016 exam was conducted from August 27 to September 11, on September 25 (at Srinagar) and October 27 (re-exam). Over 38 lakh candidates had applied for CGL 2016 exam, however, only around 36 percent appeared for the tier 1 exam. SSCAs the results of CGL Tier 1 exam were announced by the Commission few days back, many candidates complained of the higher cut-off marks. This year, the cut-off for general category candidates hit 137 marks and only around 46 thousand candidates were declared qualified to take Tier 2 exam. The cut-off marks for OBC, SC and ST candidates lies at 125.50, 114 and 103 marks respectively.

Approx. 14.82 lakh candidates had taken the CGL Tier 1 exam and 1,49,139 candidates were declared qualified for Tier 2 exam. The results of CGL tier 1 exam were announced on November 8 and now the marks have been released by the Staff Selection Commission for all the candidates. The CGL Tier 2 exam is scheduled to be held from November 30 to December 2.

The marks of Tier 1 exam will be taken into consideration for preparation of final merit list as the Commission has also introduced tier 3 exam. CGL Tier 2 exam would be taken as an online test, while tier 3 exam will be pen-paper based. The final merit list will be prepared on the combined score of Tier 1, 2 & 3 exams.
