SRM University, Chennai, will organize a two-day nationwide event ‘SRM Hackathon’. The event will be held from October 3. This is an event which challenges the young developers and makes them use their coding skills. With the help of their coding skills, they will have to solve problems related to healthcare, some real life problems and problems related to military and journalism will also be there. All the Universities and companies that are located in Bangalore have been invited for this event. All those who are interested will have to submit their entries by September 20.
The event not only makes the competitors solve real life problems but also pushes them to think hard. It also tests their efficiency, technical skills, and creativity. This is a very good platform for the developers and for this, the teams will be formed. It gives them a chance to unleash their talent and makes them compete for awards. The winning team will get prizes worth Rs. 1.5 lakh, followed by Rs. 1 lakh and Rs. 50,000.
The Hackathon will be conducted in three phases. In the first phase, the participating entry will have to submit their idea along with a brief synopsis of their solution. That has to be in tandem with the theme of the hackathon. In the upcoming Hackathon, there are six themes : Military, Tourism, E- Commerce, Healthcare, Journalism and Women Safety.
In the second phase, the participants will be selected on the basis of the ideas that they have submitted and only those participants will be allowed for the third phase.
In the third phase, also called as Offline Hackathon, the participants will be given 36 hours and this phase will be held at SRM, Chennai only.
