Andhra Pradesh : Smriti Irani, Union Human Resources and Development Minister, was on two day visit to Nellore District. She took part in the Sri Venkateswara Vaibhavotsavams. Smriti Irani also went to Swarna Bharath Trust at Venkatachalam and Akshara International School of Saraswati Nagar. She said that in order to give free higher education, the central government is taking many steps and the concept of e-library would be executed soon.
Smriti Irani was accompanied by Union Urban Development Minister Mr Venkaiah Naidu, Municipal Administration Minister Mr Narayana, Medical and Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas, Roads and Buildings Minister Siddha Raghava Rao, Managing trustee of Swarna Bharath Trust Deepa Venkat, during here visit.
Smriti Irani stated that e-library concept (digital library) would be accomplished extensively on the university campuses. She spoke about the efforts taken by the government to provide free higher education. She praised Akshara International School Management for creating better facilities for education and stressing the importance on personality development of students. Mr Venkaiah Naidu spoke about the presence of intellectual talent in India and the need to encourage students to make noteworthy contributions to the society.
Mr Venkaiah Naidu also spoke about the basic amenities such as drinking water and toilet facilities and assured that these would be provided to all the schools in India. A railway over-bridge was inaugurated by Mr Venkaiah Naidu. He also spoke about the emerging needs of the people and how the government had taken steps for the growth of railway network.
