Smart class education project launched in Ajmer

On the eve of the 70th Independence Day of India, during the state-level Independence Day function, Ajmer district administration’s smart class education project was inaugurated by Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje. Raje was on a two-day visit to Ajmer to participate in different programmes. On Monday, she presided over Independence Day function as the chief guest. Two hundred twenty government schools will be covered in this initiative, which is the first-of-its-kind in the state.

As part of her Sunday itinerary, the CM inaugurated the At Home shelter, besides unveiling the statue of Maharana Pratap on Pushkar Road. The main attraction was a laser show at Maharana Partap Smarak where life story of Rana Partap and Ajmer and Pushkar was displayed through laser lights on the natural screen of hills on Pushkar road.

Raje also talked to the students of Governmental School Topdara and checked their education and mental level. She inaugurated the centralized kitchen system for mid-day meal that will serve food to students of different schools.

Later in the day, on the eve of Independence Day, she participated in the cultural programmes at GLO Ground. Hundreds of students from different schools performed in the event.

The district administration was working day and night cleaning roads and colouring government buildings. Rehearsals from the helipad of police lines to different places including Mayo College were done for four days. Anasagar Lake was also cleaned for the first time.

For the CM’s stay, the intelligence department and city police had increased vigilance in public places, especially in dargah region. Meanwhile, police and administration were keeping an eye on people and groups who want to hinder the visit of Raje by giving her memorandum or blocking her way. This was so because a Muslim group staged agitation demanding to the arrest of a murder accused. Aam Admi Party and Congress accused the state government for wasting large amount of public money for CM’s visit. They alleged that only those areas where Raje will go are being beautified while remaining parts of the city are not even getting essential facilities.
