Assam HSLC Result 2017 declared; faces downtime

Assam HSLC result has been declared by the Board Secondary Education, Assam, few minutes ahead of the scheduled time of 10 am. SEBA HLSC Result 2017 declaration on 31st May will end the long wait of 11 weeks for over 3.8 lakh students in the State. This year, as much as 3,72,640 students appeared in the High School Leaving Certification (HSLC) Examination, while another 10,116 students appeared for Assam High Madrassa (AHM) examination. The HSLC exams were conducted from February 17 to March 10 across the State. The board exams commenced with English paper, while the last day was reserved for multiple practical examinations. Out of 3,80,733 students registered for HSLC exams, 97.87 percent attendance was recorded this year. There were 10,547 students registered for AHM exams, while 10,116 appeared.

HSLC result 2017 date was announced by the Board on 25th May through a press note. The notice added, “The results of High School Leaving Certificate Examination and Assam High Madrassa Examination held in the month of February/ March will be declared at 10 am on 31 May simultaneously in the office of the Inspector of the Schools of the concerned district of Assam.” The Officer-in-charge of the HSLC/ AHM examination 2017 centers will have to collect the packets of Result Gazette, Marks-sheet, Pass Certificate etc. from the office of the Inspector of Schools concerned. There are total 855 examination centers across the State for HSLC 2017 exams.

The Assam HSLC result 2017 will be hosted at the above-mentioned web sites at 10 am and the students can also check their division in the HSLC/ AHM exams from 10 am onwards.

After the announcement of SEBA HSLC result 2017 on May 31, the Board will also open the facility for re-checking of answer sheets. The online application for re-checking of answer script will open at from 3rd June, meanwhile, the students can also apply online for obtaining the photocopy of their answer sheets from the Board’s website.

Moderation/ Grace Marks in SEBA HSLC Result 2017

SEBA, as a pilot project on an experimental basis, evaluated answer scripts of General Mathematics through digital mode. In a recently conducted meeting, SEBA decided to moderate marks in English, General Science, Social Science, and Mathematics for extending the proportionate benefit of all its students. As per the moderation policy, maximum 13 marks have been considered for Mathematics and maximum 10 marks considered in cases of other 3 subjects.

In addition to the above, SEBA will also continue with the policy of Grace Marks for lower level performance to improve the pass percentage in HSLC Result. Under this policy, grace marks have been provided in maximum 3 subjects @ 5 marks for each subject.
