While the result of PO Mains examination is out, SBI clerk mains result 2016 is still awaited by more than 3.5 lakh aspirants. The details of shortlisted candidates in State Bank of India (SBI) Probationary Officer (PO) Mains examination has been published a day before schedule. Th results to were to be out on August 20, as the bank had said in a press note issued on Tuesday when it missed the deadline to declare result on August 16.
The candidates can access the list of shortlisted candidates at sbi.co.in. As per the notice, the Phase-III will commence from September 1 and candidates will be advised with their details by sms or email. The call letters for GD/Interviews will be issued on August 24.
And as the matter is for SBI clerk mains result 2016 declaration, there is no update from officials so anything solid can’t be said about it anyway. Until the matter resolves over government’s pending decision on whether or not SBI can conduct interviews for this clerks recruitment, and until State Bank administration itself clears the air, there isn’t much left to speculate here.

SBI PO 2016: The state-owned bank i.e., SBI had earlier invited applications from interested and eligible aspirants for recruitment to 2200 posts of Probationary Officers along with 168 backlog vacancies (CRPD/PO/2016-17/02). The preliminary online exam was held in first and second week of this month, i.e. July 2nd, 3rd, 9th and 10th.
In case of result of prelims examinations, the bank had announced those a day before scheduled release. Only the candidates who scored the minimum qualifying marks were shortlisted for taking Mains exam, the numbers being around 48 thousand.
Now those who took the mains examination held in July last week, will have to attain the set cut-off marks here too to be selected for further rounds of Personal Interview and Group-Discussion, into Phase-III.
Aggregate marks of the candidates who will qualify in both objective tests and descriptive test (30-minute English language test), are in descending order in each category. The bank will then decide the qualifying marks for phase-3.
The candidates qualifying SBI PO 2016 mains examination will be called for GD (20 marks) and personal interview (30 marks) round, which is scheduled for September 1. The selection will be done according to candidates’ rank in the merit list in the ratio of maximum three candidates per vacancy. The call letters for interviews will be issued on August 22 if the schedule remains intact and is not affected by the delay in result declaration.
