The State Bank of India (SBI) has released the admit cards for Probationary Officer (PO) mains exam 2017 that is poised to be conducted on June 4, 2017. The details of SBI PO mains admit card/call letters have been uploaded at www.sbi.co.in/careers for candidates. SBI will be holding the online exam (PO Mains) wherein the Prelims qualified candidates will be participating.
The State Bank of India is currently holding the recruitment exercise to fill 2313 vacancies of Probationary Officers. The vacancies include 313 backlog posts. Considering the large number of vacancies, nearly 27 lakh applications were received by the Bank, however, some 20 lakh appeared for the Phase I Prelims exam held in April last week and May first week. Three days back, SBI had declared the PO Prelims results along with the marks of the candidates.
SBI will be conducting the PO Mains exam in the online mode just like the prelims, but the exam pattern differs for the two. Unlike prelims, the PO Mains exam will comprise of the objective as well as a descriptive test and there will be the sectional time limit too. The objective tests will have total 155 questions divided among four sections. The number of questions, marks, and the time limit is depicted below:
The candidates will have total 3 hours to solve the objective tests, following which they will be given 30 minutes time to solve the descriptive test. The test will carry 50 marks and will be of English Language comprising of Letter writing and Essay. The candidates are required to qualify in the descriptive test by securing passing marks which will be decided by the Bank.
The descriptive test paper will be evaluated for only those candidates who will qualify the objective tests. The shortlisted candidates will then have to undergo Phase-III of the selection process which comprises of Group Discussion (20 marks) and Interview (30 marks). The marks scored by the candidates in the prelims test will not be considered for final selection, only the marks in Phase II & III will be taken for the preparation of final merit list.
SBI PO Mains Admit Card 2017
SBI PO admit card for Mains exam were scheduled to be out on May 22, however, just like the prelims result, SBI preponed it. The PO mains exam will be held on June 4, while the results will be declared on June 19. The Bank will be holding the interviews in July and the final result will be out in the first week of August.
To download SBI PO Mains admit card 2017, the candidates are required to use the Registration number/ Roll number as username and date of birth as the password. Once the admit card is displayed on the screen, one should take the printout as it is an important document to gain entry into the exam center. The biometric data of the candidates will be captured twice on the Mains exam day, once before the start of exam and then after completion of exam.
