State Bank of India (SBI) finally announced the result of it’s clerk mains 2016 examination on Thursday evening as we had reported. The candidates can take a sigh of relief as the results are finally out now. SBI would soon publish the marks of the qualified candidates.
SBI has published Clerk Final result in three separate PDFs – one for Junior Associates (Regular & backlog vacancies), second for junior agricultural associates and third for Junior Associates (Special recruitment drive for Meghalaya/Ladakh.Kashmir Valley). The results can be accessed at the careers page of www.sbi.co.in. A total of 13,950 candidates have been provisionally selected Junior Associates (Customer Support & Sales); 1,428 for JAA posts and 157 for Junior Associates posts (Special recruitment drive for Meghalaya/Ladakh/Kashmir Valley).
As to why SBI has selected only 15,535 candidates when there were 19,575 vacancies, that remains unknown.
From October 27 evening: According to CRPD Mumbai, The State Bank of India (SBI) is processing the result of it’s clerk mains 2016 examination and may announce them on Oct 27 or Oct 28. The news comes straight-out from our conversation with Central Recruitment & Promotion Department (CRPD), SBI, Mumbai. The official said that the department is trying to publish SBI clerk mains result as soon as possible and most probably, results will be uploaded within a day or two.
The statement also holds true to the report we published two weeks ago. I don’t wanna say but have to, I told you so.
Now, there is no source or anything here, just words of the CRPD official. Two of ExamsWatch readers have also confirmed that CRPD said the same thing to them. Since SBI doesn’t entertain media inquiries through any other medium other than CRPD helpline, it is suffice to say that the news holds the right amount of accountability. And since I’m posting about clerk mains exam since for 6 months, and know pretty much what candidates have gone through these past 4 months, I sincerely hope it’s true. True to the extent where SBI does declare the results in 1-2 days. Moreover, many guys at Pagalguy thread here are also confirming the same thing.
SBI had conducted the mains examination on June 25 and June 26 and about 3.5 lakh candidates had qualified the prelims exam to appear for mains. This recruitment process is underway for 19575 posts in clerical cadre (Junior Associates & Junior Agricultural Associates).
Keep watch on sbi.co.in/careers page in case any good news comes out. It’s not a drill, CRPD has never before said something so close and sure about results declaration itself.
I guess that ends the dilemma of lakhs of aspirants who have been waiting for this Diwali gift. For those who got selected, good luck mates, and for those who didn’t make it, don’t worry there are lots of banking exams coming ahead for you to crack. Tomorrow, I’ll update a list of exams and recruitment processes still ongoing to apply for. Make yourself whole again and be determined.
