The State Bank of India (SBI) is expected to announce the results of Clerk mains exam in August amid uncertainties clouding the expected date of declaration. The State Bank has already missed one deadline to publish SBI clerk mains result 2016 and the aspirants are already edged out about the delay. Waiting on officials to say anything, it’s uncertain to speculate when the SBI clerk results will be announced.
Over 3 lakh candidates are waiting for the declaration of SBI Clerk result (Mains exam 2016) which should have been announced on 23 July. With the deadline set by the Bank missed, the candidates are in a fix as the Bank has not even updated the reason of delay and the confirmation on result announcement. SBI Clerk Mains exam was conducted on June 25 & 26, 2016.
State Bank of India (SBI) had notified the commencement of recruitment process for filling Clerical cadre vacancies in April and accordingly the preliminary exam was held in May & June. The vacancies include 14,132 posts of Junior Associates (Customer Support & Sales) and 3,008 Junior Agricultural Associates posts. Apart from JA & JAA posts, the recruitment process also includes 216 posts in Tura (Meghalaya) & Kashmir Valley & Ladakh and 3,218 backlog vacancies for SC, ST, OBC, PWD & Ex-servicemen.
SBI had announced the results of Clerk Prelims exam on June 17 and the Mains exam was conducted after one week. The candidates allowed to appear for the Mains exam were as much as twenty times the number of vacancies. The Bank had initially set 23rd July as the date for Clerk Mains result, however, the candidates are still waiting for their result.
It has been reported that out of all the candidates who took the Clerk Mains exam, around 60 thousand will be called for the third and final round of selection process; Interview. Once the Bank gets the government’s nod for the same, the candidates having rank high enough in the merit list will be called for interview in the ratio of maximum three candidates for each vacancy. The final selection of the candidates will be on the basis of the marks they obtain in the Main examination and Interview round and the final merit list will be displayed at the Bank’s site as well as Employment News/Rozgar Samachar.
As reported by several media houses, SBI Clerk result for Mains exam should be out in a day or two. The candidates are advised to keep a regular check on the Bank’s site for official updates.
