The State Bank of India (SBI) is expected to announce the results of its Clerk mains examination within next 2-3 days for the exams. SBI clerk mains exam 2016 were held on June 25 & 26, taken by the candidates who had qualified the preliminary exam conducted earlier in May this year.
Since there’s no official word, SBI clerk result for mains exam 2016 can be announced anytime, maybe today or after 2 days.
The results for preliminary exams were published on June 18 and only the aspirants who were shortlisted for Mains exam were issued call letters.
For SBI clerical cadre mains examination; the results were slated to be released on 23 July, however, so far the State Bank has not published the results and neither has updated any notification regarding the delay. Although no exact date has been notified by the bank but it’s expected that results will be declared anytime now, or any day at the least.
Reportedly, the bank had received close to 25 lakh applications for the recruitment on around 13700 posts of clerical cadre including 10,726 posts for Junior Associate and 3,008 posts for Junior Agricultural Associate. Out of the total who wrote the prelims exam in May, around 3 lakh were shortlisted for Mains exam.
The bank will release the SBI clerk mains result in the form of a merit list which will be uploaded online at www.sbi.co.in and around 60k candidates are reported to be listed in the same, who then will be called for personal interview round further in the selection procedure. Only those who will qualify the PI round will be issued final appointment letters for the JA & JAA posts under this recruitment.
The final merit list will be prepared taking candidate’s marks in mains exam and marks in interview round into consideration.
It’s already made clear in the official notification that marks/score cards would not be dispatched to candidates. The candidates can only view their results online at SBI’s website.
The candidates’ status of qualifying the mains exam will be based on his/her performance in the exam itself which will be based on the cut-off marks set by the bank.
