The University of Rajasthan, Jaipur released the notification of Law Entrance Test – RULET 2017 on April 5. The varsity conducts the entrance test on annual basis for admission in the Faculty of Law. RULET 2017 has been notified to shortlist eligible students for admission in 10 semesters (5 years) B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) and B.A. LL.B course at affiliated colleges for the academic session 2017-18.
The Department of Law is one of the oldest Departments of the Rajasthan State and legal studies date back to the year India achieved independence (1947). The students qualifying RULET 2017 will be eligible for admission in B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) course offered at University Five Year Law College, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur (Constituent College of University of Rajasthan) and in B.A. LL.B. course at Vidyasthali Law College, Maharani Farm, Durgapura, Jaipur; S.S. Jain Subodh Law College, Sector-5, Mansarovar, Jaipur and St. Wilfred’s College of Law, Meera Marg, Mansarovar, Jaipur.
RULET 2017 Application Process is offline wherein the aspirants will have to download application form from the university website (www.uniraj.ac.in). The applicants are required to submit the duly filled application form in the Department of Law, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur. The application form should be submitted along with a Demand Draft of Rs. 2,000 drawn in the favour of “Convener, RULET, University of Rajasthan” payable at Jaipur.
With the release of official notification, the application process has commenced. The minimum qualification for RULET 2017 is Class 12th (passed or appearing) with minimum 50 percent marks (40% for SC/ST candidates). The aspirants must keep in mind that the forms are submitted before 4 pm, May 11, 2017. Form received after the date will be rejected.
Along with the application form, the applicant must enclose following documents:
- Photocopy of Class 12 mark sheet
- Reservation Certificate
If the reservation certificate is not submitted, the applicant will be considered as a general category candidate.

RULET 2017 will be conducted as an offline test, followed by Group Discussion & Personal Interview (GD & PI). The test will be held on May 21 (4 pm to 6 pm) at Rajasthan University Campus, Jaipur. The entrance test will comprise of a single paper of 200 marks containing questions on language ability, legal reasoning, general knowledge, general science and social studies. The GD & PI will carry 100 marks and will be held from May 22.
The University of Rajasthan will assess the candidates on the basis of performance in written test, GD & PI and the final result will be out of total 300 marks. The result of RULET 2017 will be announced on or before June 15.
