In a press note issued here, Rajasthan Subordinate and Ministerial Services Selection Board (RSMSSB) notified that Rajasthan Patwari main exam will be held on December 24. This is the third time the board has set a new date for Patwari main exam. The earlier two dates set for the mains exam were ditched by the Board in the view of appal filed by the candidates in the court.
The notification for filling 4,400 posts of Patwari in the Revenue Board (Rajasva Mandal) was issued by the Rajasthan Subordinate and Ministerial Services Selection Board on November 4, 2015. The applications were submitted from November 10 to December 10 and as per the selection process, the preliminary examination was organized in February.
In the prelims exam held on February 13, total 6,44,863 candidates participated for paltry 4400 posts. As much as 66,120 candidates were shortlisted for mains exam which was initially scheduled for May 7, 2016. The exam was cancelled as many candidates reached the High Court against the shortlisting criteria adopted by the board for mains exam. The Board, once again, announced to hold the Patwari mains exam on July 10, but as the candidates challenged the decision in the Supreme Court, the exam was once again cancelled.
RSMSSB Patwari Main exam now stands scheduled to be held on December 24, 2016 in one shift of three hours from 12 noon to 3 pm.
