RRB NTPC: 2nd Stage Exam ends on 19 January

RRB began its round of mains exam for NTPC Recruitment on 17th January 2017, yesterday. Railway Recruitment Board had released notification under the centralized employment number CEN 03/2015 in 2015 for various posts in railway department. The biggest department of the central government, Indian Railway has 22 recruitment zones called both RRB or RRC. The three-day 2nd stage exam started on 17 January and will end on 19 January.

RRB is conducting exams for various posts under non-technical popular category i.e. Commercial Apprentice (CA), Traffic Apprentice (TA), Assistant Station Master (ASM), Goods Guard, Enquiry Cum Reservation Clerk (ECRC), Junior Assistant & Senior Clerk, Group D.

Around 93 lakh applications were received by the RRB after the notification was released. Due to the unexpected number of applications, it was decided that the examination will be held in two stages. RRB NTPC Pre Exam was conducted from March to May in 2016. All those candidates who cleared Pre-Examination were notified and are taking the second stage of the three-stage recruitment process. Around 56 lakh candidates appeared for the first stage pre-exam of 2017-2018 recruitment and broke all records.RRB NTPC Exams is one of the most popular government exams conducted in the country. RRB NTPC Exams is one of the most popular government exams conducted in the country. After a prolonged delay and surprise notification, the dates for the mains examination were finalized to be 17th, 18th and 19th January 2017. The Exam is being conducted Zone wise divided into 22 Zones. Due to the huge number of candidates, there are three shifts of the exam each of 90 minutes.

As RRB NTPC 2nd stage exam commenced yesterday, various institutes have been analyzing the exam pattern. There were mixed questions based on General Intelligence, Quantitative Aptitude and General Awareness. GK questions are based on memory while General Intelligence and reasoning can be solved based on one’s common sense. It is basically to check the hypothetical thinking of the candidates.

Several candidates who gave the online exam have reported of the exam pattern and are looking for the answer keys. General Awareness section included both Static GK and Banking GK. After today’s exam candidates reported of the challenges faced in the GK section. Presence of mind was essential to be able to attempt the Reasoning section, is what has been reported by candidates.

Total 2,73,250 candidates are eligible for RRB NTPC 2nd stage exam.
