Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) will be conducting the written examination for it’s 2nd grade senior teacher recruitment process on April 26 and May 1, 2017. Whereas the exams for subjects other than General Knowledge (which is compulsory), optional papers have been postponed to June month and the commission will hold them online.
However, RPSC’s schedule for holding 2nd grade teacher exam on dates between April 26 to May 1 doesn’t sit right with post graduate students of Universities in the state. Around 9 lakh will be taking this 2nd grade teacher recruitment test on the given dates and lots of them are still pursuing their PG education at Rajasthan University, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Shekhawati University and Maharaja Ganga Singh University, Bikaner.
On April 26, the same date when RPSC 2nd grade exam is to be conducted, Shekhawati University has scheduled paper of Indian Administration & Politics, and Ganga Singh University has scheduled Mathematics paper. On May 1, 2017 too, Shekhawati University is conducting Political Sciences paper and Ganga Singh University is conducting Mathematics paper.
Rajasthan University’s exam dates were also clashing as per previous schedule of RPSC for 2nd grade exam, when the test was also booked for dates 27 April, 28 April, May 2 and May 3rd. But after the revised notification which stated that papers on these dates were postponed, RU students felt relief. Rajasthan University doesn’t has any exams scheduled for April 26 and May 1.
According to the reports by local media, RPSC is unwilling to change the dates citing that the commission has already done so 3 times in the past. However, the varsities on the other hand, have said that they would clear the schedule on those dates for students if RPSC doesn’t reschedules. Either way, the students’ can’t be burdened with the choice of appearing for only one of the two exams.
