Road Rage Claims Teen’s Life In Bihar, Politician’s Son Accused

A teenager became victim of yet another case of road rage in Bihar. Reportedly, a teen named Aditya Sachdeva was travelling in his Swift car along with some friends in Gaya and when he overtook a Range Rover car being driven by Rocky Yadav, the latter started firing to stop them.

As per the complaint lodged with police, Rocky Yadav, Son of JD(U) MLC Manorama Devi, overtook Aditya’s car and then shot at him apparently to teach him a lesson for overtaking Rocky’s car. Aditya was rushed to Anugrah Narayan Medical College and Hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.

Police detained two in connection with the alleged murder, accused’s father Bindi Yadav and his bodyguard Rajesh Kumar, SSP Gaya Garima Malik informed. Allegation against Bindi Yadav is of criminal conspiracy and harbouring the accused. She also said that the main accused Rocky Yadav is on run and police is trying to nab him.

During interrogation, Bindi Yadav said that his son was driving the car & those four persons in other car were drunk. He said, “They started overtaking his car, stopped my son on the way. They then pulled him out of the car and started beating him. During scuffle, my son took out his licensed pistol in defense, by mistake it happened (killing of youth).”

When Aayush, one of the friend of Aditya said to media, “We tried overtaking their car, but they started firing shots in the air. One of them was wearing a commando dress. The assaulted my friends, fired shots because of which my friend died.”

From early morning, BJP workers started protesting outside victim’s residence. Several locals and relatives of Aditya joined the protests and demanded quick enquiry and arrest of Rocky Yadav. BJP Leader Sushil Kumar Modi accused police of saving the accused, He said, “the public is on road and Police is trying to shield the accused,” adding that strict action should be taken by police to serve justice.

Bihar Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav turned out his claim and said necessary action would be taken. He said, “We will take strict action irrespective of stature.”

Ali Anwar, JDU leader, also joined Tejashwi’s statement and said, “Anyone taking law in their hands will not be spared, such people can’t be protected.”
