RINL moves Recruitment Process to ONLINE Track

Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL) is preparing to initiate major reforms in its recruitment policy system. The new recruitment policy is to provide a light of hopeful career in the Visakhapatnam-headquartered Navaratna company!

RINL, the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, is planning to review the recruitment policy after realizing the faults with the entrusted Delhi-based private firm. The private firm was assigned with the duty to conduct the tests in order to choose candidates for the vacancies to be filled at Vizag Steel Plant. The assigned panel soon realized that a lot of problems have been faced by the aspirants who applied for Management Trainees and other various posts.

The foremost intention is to make sure that the recruitment & selection process is fast and transparent. In the case of some non-executive posts, there might be some chances of inclusion of an independent agency like Institute of Banking Personnel Selection.

K.C. Das, RINL Director informed on the matter that a written test will be conducted through online mode on pilot basis and if the same is successful, online tests will be arranged for filling Junior Trainee posts. The online test process is under consideration for only MT (technical) posts, while for filling Field Assistant Trainee posts, the authority may continue with the offline mode.

Another proposal has been taken into consideration whether to regard GATE score as an alternate for written test for MT (Technical) and UGC-NET for non-technical executives.

The respective authority indulgence in getting the recruitment done for a huge number of vacant seats is evolving to be an effortful task. Such enormous vacant sowings owe to the growth of various facilities along with the posts falling vacant due to the superannuation scheme.

RINL had conducted the written tst for the post of MT on 25th July which was later cancelled. Also, another written test for Junior Trainee posts held on 9th July has been cancelled. While RINL had notified to conduct the Field Assistant Trainee exam on 9th July too, the exam was not conducted. There has been no update on the dates for these three exams and with the RINL’s decision to improve the recruitment policy, the update on exam dates is expected to be out soon.
