RBI admit card, Grade B exam call letter for Grade B Officer Phase 1 exam 2017 has been released by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Services Board today. The Phase 1 exam is scheduled to be held on June 17 and the admit cards have been issued today. The candidates can download RBI Grade B Officer admit card from the official website www.rbi.org.in.
RBI will be holding the Grade B Officer exam in online mode in two sessions on 17th June. Based on the vacancies, the online exam will have different exam patterns. For the vacancies notified under General – DR (General) batch, the exam will comprise of 200 multiple choice questions divided among four sections as follows:
- General Awareness – 80 questions
- Reasoning – 60 questions
- English Language – 30 questions
- Quantitative Aptitude – 30 questions
Each question will carry 1 mark and 1/4 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
For the vacancies in the Department of Economic and Policy Research (DEPR), there will be only 61 questions on Economics. The questions will be distributed among three sections, in which Section 1 & 2 will carry 1, 2 & 3 mark questions, while Section 3 will carry 1, 2 & 4 mark questions. Negative marking will be applicable in the test and the maximum marks will be 100.
For the vacancies under the Department of Statistics and Information Management (DSIM), the candidates will have to take the Statistics paper. The paper will have 20 questions carrying total 100 marks. Negative marking will be applicable in the test.
RBI Grade B Officer Phase 1 exam will be conducted in two sessions, each of 120 minutes duration. To appear in the online exam, the candidates are required to download RBI Grade B admit card. The details of test timing and venue will be mentioned in the admit card. The candidates are rqeuired to carry the admit card to the examination venue along with a recent passport size photo duly pasted on it. They are also required to bring a valid photo identiy proof and a photocopy of the same id proof. On the exam day, the candidates will have to hand over the admit card stapled with a photocopy of id proof to the invigilator.
The candidates will have to seure minimum marks separately for each test as well as in aggregate. Based on the aggregate marks in the Phase 1 online exam, a limited number of candidates will be shortlistd for Phase 2 exam. The Phase 2 exam is scheduled to be held in the first week of July.
The Reserve Bank of India Services Board had notified the recruitment of Grade B Officers in May and the applications were filled from May 3 to 23. There are total 161 vacancies on offer through the recruitment process, the vacancies are distributed as 145 under General, 12 under DEPR and 4 under DSIM.
