December 05, 2017, Update: RBI assistant prelims result 2017 has been declared today. The RBI result of Assistant posts recruitment exam was published at opportunities.rbi.org.in in the evening, however as of now, the site is down, supposedly due to rush of candidates going online to check their results. We’ll update when RBI site is working fine.

RBI Assistant result 2017 for the preliminary examination is expected to be announced today, keeping in view the previous years’ trends. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) conducted the preliminary exam on November 27 & 28 for filling 623 Assistant posts in its various offices. RBI Assistant prelims result 2017 will be available at the Bank’s official website www.rbi.org.in. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI)’s recruitment cell is yet to issue a notice on the result announcement. The updates are being posted here as we get them.

RBI Assistant Exam Result 2017: Last year, RBI had conducted the Assistant prelims exam on December 23 and the results were declared on December 28, in just 5 days. Also, as the Main examination is scheduled to be held on December 20, it is obvious the RBI Assistant prelims result will be announced in minimum time. RBI Assistant result 2017 is very likely to be declared today, our reports suggest.

Cut-off Analysis: RBI Assistant prelims 2017 exam comprised of 100 multiple choice questions based on English, Reasoning Ability and Quantitative/ Numerical Ability. Since the cut-off marks vary region to region, the safe score should be around 75 to 80 marks for general category candidates. Last year (in 2016 exam), RBI Assistant prelims cut-off of the general category was recorded as 70.25 (lowest) for Mumbai Office and 81.50 (maximum) for Chandigarh and Hyderabad Offices.

For OBC category, the cut-off ranged from 62.75 marks for Jammu Office to 78.00 marks for Hyderabad Office in the same exam. Similarly, the cut-off for SC and ST was reported as 62.50 marks (lowest) for Bengaluru to 73.75 marks (highest) for Hyderabad and 47.50 marks for Mumbai to 70.00 for Hyderabad Office.

Once declared, the candidates will be able to check RBI Assistant result 2017 for Prelims exam through the official website www.rbi.org.in by using their login details. RBI will upload the list containing roll numbers of successful candidates in the preliminary online examination. These shortlisted candidates will then be issued the call letters for the online Main examination. The final selection to Assistant posts will be on the basis of candidate’s performance in the Main examination and Language Proficiency Test in the order of merit.
