Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan was founded in the year 1970 to propagate, develop and encourage learning of Sanskrit and to carry out research activities in the field of Sanskrit. This deemed university which comes under the Ministry of Human Resource and Development, offers B.A, M.A, B.Ed, M.Ed, Ph.D courses. Students studying Acharya degree, Vidyavaridhi, Ph.D, B.A, Graduation, Shastri, B.A (Hons.) in Sanskrit, Pali, Pakrit are offered scholarships. The application form for Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan scholarship for 2015-16 academic year can be accessed online.
Amount of Rs 4000 is given as scholarship for the students of B.A/Shastri, amount of Rs 5000 for students of M.A/Acharya, and Rs 20,000 for students of Ph.D/Vidyavaridhi.
Procedure for submission of scholarship form :
Applicants would require to visit the official web portal and access the scholarship form. Next step involves making correct entries, followed by enclosing attested copies of mark list. Attested copies of necessary certificates must be enclosed for candidates belonging to OBC, SC/ST/Physically Handicapped. Finally, application form with all the documents must reach the below mentioned address before the last date which is 5 September 2015.

Selection process for the Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan scholarship involves selecting the candidate by merit followed by an interview. Since the scholarships are awarded for one academic year depending on the marks, students must apply freshly each year as automatic renewal would not be possible. For Ph.D, scholarships would be given for two years and it would depend on the performance of the student. Progress report and Utilization Certificate must be sent to consider for second year scholarship. This could be done through the help of guide and HOD.
In cases of students studying Arts or Humanities with Sanskrit as major subject, scholarships would be given at Graduation and Post Graduation levels only. Scholarship amount would be paid from July 1st of every year. Suppose if any candidate receives scholarships/monetary benefit from other institutions, then they will not be considered for the scholarship offered by Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan.
