Ranchi University announced that all the class notes, important information and notices will be uploaded to the varsity web portal soon. The decision was taken in response to the meeting called by Governor of Jharkhand Draupadi Murmu a few days ago in which she instructed all the state universities to provide essential information and class notes on their official websites.
Ranchi University’s Public Relations officer stated that the varsity will be soon acting upon the directions given by the governor and is ready to refine and refashion the website after the festive holidays are concluded and classes resume on November 7.
The Students have hailed the decision made by the varsity and said that this would prove out to be very beneficial for university students and also the applicants seeking admission in the university. The teachers and professors have been directed to upload the notes of classes which are to be conducted beforehand in addition to the notes of classes which have already been conducted.
This would prove beneficial for the students in understanding the topics being covered in the class as they can go through the subject matter in advance. Also, the students who missed the class due to some reason or other would not face difficulties in catching up with what they’ve missed. Besides the notes, the university will also provide admission procedures, class time tables, details of extra-curricular activities and much more on the website.
Uploading the class notes beforehand will also encourage the students to become self-starters, self-learners and make them work independently which are some skills valued in careers. In addition, this will save time of both students and teachers and also will be convenient enough. Teachers can enjoy the flexibility to make additions, remove content or correct the errors.
The professors have also welcomed this move of uploading the notes on the website. Head of Hindi Department, Ranchi University stated that this will not only benefit the students of Ranchi University but also help students from other universities and institutions.
