PTET 2017 admit card will be released on May 6: MDSU Rajasthan

The admit cards for Rajasthan PTET 2017 will be released on May 6 to the registered candidates, MDSU Rajasthan told ExamsWatch yesterday.

Rajasthan Pre Teachers Education/Entrance Test (PTET) 2017 is scheduled to be held on May 14 and as per the reports, over 2.3 lakh applications have been submitted for the test. In addition to the 2.3 lakh applications for PTET 2017, over 31 thousand candidates have applied for Pre B.A. B.Ed. and B.Sc. B.Ed. Test. The candidates are required to download PTET admit card to appear for the test which will be available from May 6, tentatively.

The Education Department of Rajasthan has given the authority to hold PTET 2017 to Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University, Ajmer. The notification of the test was rolled out in January and the application process concluded on April 23. Pre-Teacher Education Test (PTET) is conducted every year in the State for admissions into 2-year B.Ed course, while Pre B.A. B.Ed./ B.Sc. B.Ed. Test is conducted for admissions into 4-year B.A.B.Ed. and B.Sc.B.Ed. courses offered in various Teacher Training institutions in the State of Rajasthan. There are over 90 thousand seats on offer through the entrance test.

The entrance test for B.A.B.Ed/ B.Sc.B.Ed. courses will be conducted in the first shift from 9 am to 12 noon, followed by PTET in the second shift from 2 pm to 5 pm ( Note: The official schedule is yet to be announced). There is no update on the official web portal ( about the release of Rajasthan PTET admit card, however, as ExamsWatch reached out to the authority, it has been known that the admit cards will be uploaded on the portal after May 6. Rajasthan PTET 2017 exam will be taken as a single paper consisting of 200 multiple choice questions. While the University has clarified that there is no prescribed syllabus for the test, the questions will be framed in four sections in such manner so as to test the candidates’ traits in:

  • Mental Ability
  • Teaching Attitude & Aptitude Test
  • General Awareness
  • Language Proficiency (Hindi or English)

Each section will have 50 questions, each having 3 marks. Overall, the paper will carry maximum 600 marks. One should note here that full 3 marks will be awarded for each correct answer, however, in Teaching Attitude & Aptitude Section, the answers will be scaled on a scale of 3 to 0 marks. This means that the answer to each question will carry marks of 3, 2, 1 and 0. The University has also provided some sample questions of each section so as to help the candidates understand the exam pattern.

As per the rules, all the admissions in B.Ed. programs will be based on the PTET results. The University will draw a merit list based on the marks secured by the candidates in the exam and the online counselling will be carried out for admissions. The results of PTET paper will be declared within one month of the exam.
