PM Narendra Modi To Attend Nasscom’s ‘Startup Konnect’ in Silicon Valley

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting Silicon Valley on 27th September, 2015 to meet with the delegates of the startup companies in America. During his seven day tour to USA, Mr. Modi will address the startup firms and entrepreneurs. It is also believed that Mr. Modi will meet up with IT giants like Facebook, Apple and Google as a part of increase awareness  among the people of India.

Mr. Modi is going to address the ‘Startup Konnect’ in Silicon Valley, which would provide a preview to the India’s startup environment. ‘India- US Startup Konnect 2015’ is hosted by Nasscom in collaboration with The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) silicon valley and IIM Ahemdabad’s Centre for Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship (CIIE).

More than 30 startup firms from various fields such as finance, health care, agriculture and energy will be representing India highlighting the capabilities and innovation of Indian startups. With the objective to gain an investor for the company, these startup firms will be exhibiting their products and prototypes. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attain the exhibit to encourage the Indian startup firms and with his vision of “Start up India, Stand up India”, Mr. Modi will express his views to the Indian companies.

Business incubator Center for Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship (CIIE) hopes to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) seeking assistance and collaboration with the corporate and academic sectors of US with the aim to accelerate the innovations for India. Nasscom is also supposed to collaborate with TiE Silicon Valley in order to ease the exchange program between the firms.

Mr. R Chandrashekar, the President of Nasscom stated that the collaboration of India-US through would help designing the future of India’s entrepreneur firms. Through Startup Konnect, Nasscom is aiming to represent the high end success stories of Indian entrepreneurs.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will deliver a speech in a daylong event to encourage the young people of India to opt for entrepreneurship and also to promote the Indian start ups to work in different fields. In this occasion Mr. Kunal Upadhyay, CEO of Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship stated that the startups firms exhibiting in Startup Konnect are indicating the changes, which India is experiencing in changing solutions for the different classes of consumers of the nation.
