Where the Board exams are on the verge of getting finished across the country, Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education is cancelling its Physics and computer science paper since the papers have been leaked. The class 12 Boards commenced on march 3 and the class 10 started the very next day. The Boards were scheduled to finish on 17th of March. Now that the leaked news has spread, the examinations seem to be on hold.
The news was broken by the principal of Government Senior Secondary School, Nichar in Kannaur District. As per the reports, the news of the theft was reported when the double locks were found broken. Some question papers and answer sheets were found stolen at the examination centre of the school which triggered the doubt that the papers must be leaked. The examinations of the subjects have been cancelled in 1846 centres and a new date for the examination would be set.
The chief minister also discussed about the leaked papers in the state assembly and assured that an enquiry would be held and action would be taken against the culprits behind the theft.
The Deputy Commissioner of the Kanaur District has placed the principal under suspension. Along with him, the Centre Superintendent, Deputy Superintendent and the chowkidar also have an F.I.R registered against them at Baba Nagar police station.
“The double lock of the cupboard in the school was found broken and 60 papers of each subject and some answer sheets were found missing,” said the Chief Minister.
The papers for Physics and Computer Science were supposed to be held on march 14 and March 21 respectively, however, now that the apprehension of leak is around, fresh dates for the exams would be set and announced soon.
Amidst the enquiry, the ruckus has installed fear in the other students who have made plans to start applying for their graduation studies. With this paper leak, their arrangement is pretty much on a hold.
