Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) is conducting web based counselling for GATE/GPAT and AP PGECET 2016 qualified candidates and the document verification process would commence from July 16. Candidates will be able to exercise their options from July 20 to 25, depending on their ranks. All the counselling related activities can be exercised at appgecet.apsche.ac.in.
Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (PGECET) was administered by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Kakinada on the behalf of APSCHE for admissions to regular PG courses in Engineering, Technology, Pharmacy (ME / M.Tech. / M.Pharmacy), Graduate level Pharm-D for the academic year 2016-17. The test was conducted in May and the results were announced in the first week of June. The candidates were awarded ranks, based on which they are eligible to participate in the counselling.
Candidates are required to get their certificates verified at any of the helpline centres. The authority has set up 6 helpline centres, namely, JNTU A, Anantapuram; University College of Engineering, JNTUK, Kakinada; SRR & CVR Govt. College, Vijayawada; Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur; Andhra University online counselling centre, Visakhapatnam and SV University, Tirupati. Candidates will have to report at the helpline centre along with all the required documents in original for verification and xerox copies for submission. Candidates will also have to pay the non-refundable fee of Rs 500 (for SC/ST candidates) and Rs 1000 for others at the time of certificate verification.
The candidates claiming NCC / Sports / CAP / PH quota can attend counselling on July 16 & 17 at JNTU, Kakinada and ANU, Guntur. For other candidates, the option entry would commence from July 18 for GATE/GPAT candidates and from July 19 for PGECET candidates. The detailed schedule is available here.
After successful document verification and fee payment, candidates will have to register on the official site where they can exercise the options for course and college based on their preference. The seat allotment would be done in order of preference of choices, so candidates are advised to enter the options carefully. Upon successful allotment to a particular seat, candidates will have to take the printout of the provisional allotment order and report to the allotted college.
