The directorate, DTE Assam has declared PAT result 2016 yesterday on 9th June. The result of Assam Polytechnic Admission Test (PAT 2016) are published at www.dteassam.in and can be checked by enrolled aspirants by entering the roll number.
The directorate will announce the schedule of merit based counselling and admission later this week. The selected candidates have to download the part-B of application form and bring it after filling duly at the time of counselling to complete admission formalities. The result will not be dispatched to any candidate and can be downloaded from official site only.
The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Assam has conducted the polytechnic admission test – PAT 2016 on May 22 for admission to diploma courses (except office management course) while the test for office management course concluded on May 29. Thousands of candidates have appeared in Assam PAT 2016 and currently awaiting the announcement of PAT result. The results were expected to be announced earlier this week, however, there was no official confirmation was made as for the date of declaration from the authorities. But finally, the results are out.
The Directorate of Technical Education, Assam was established in 1960 and currently there are 4 government engineering colleges and 10 Polytechnic Institutions functioning under it. DTE Assam administers Polytechnic Admission Test (PAT) every year to facilitate admissions in the diploma courses in Engineering offered at polytechnic institutions. There are 1545 seats available in polytechnic institutes of Assam for which DTE Assam would prepare a merit list and organize counselling process based on the merit to admit deserving students.
As the DTE released the Assam PAT result online at its official web portal dteassam.in, candidates are now able to access their result only after feeding required inputs like their roll number and date of birth.

It has already been notified by the DTE that counselling schedule for polytechnic admissions would follow the results declaration and same could be found on its official site as well as local daily newspapers. All the shortlisted candidates will be required to bring the duly filled Part-B form at the time of counselling.
