Over 90% take JEECUP group A exam

Joint Entrance Examination Council (JEEC) Secretary F.R Khan said, “Around 36 thousand candidates were reported absent in the exam.” As much as 3.66 lakh students had registered for the exam this year and around 89 percent attended the exam. There are approx. 1.35 lakh seats to be filled in around 500 polytechnic institutes across the State through JEECUP 2017.

The Joint Entrance Examination Council, Uttar Pradesh (JEECUP) also know as UP Polytechnic Entrance Exam 2017, was conducted in two shifts on Sunday, April 23. As per the reports, around 90 percent attendance was recorded in the exam. The exam is popularly known as JEECUP or UPJEE (Polytechnic) and is conducted every year in the state for admissions in polytechnic/diploma courses.

The Council had notified the UPJEE (Polytechnic) 2017 in December and the application window was opened from December 15 to February 28, after an extension of the last date from February 14. The exam was conducted on Sunday for admissions to diploma/ post diploma/ post graduate diploma courses in Engineering & Technology, Fashion Design, Pharmacy, Hotel Management & Catering Technology in Polytechnic Institutions affiliated to the Board of Technical Education.

JEECUP Answer Key

JEECUP 2017 was conducted in two shifts on 23 April. Group A Main exam was conducted in the first shift (9 am to 12 noon) for Engineering/ Technology Diploma courses. For rest of the groups – Group B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I and K1 to K7, the exam was conducted in the second shift from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm.

UP Polytechnic Entrance Exam was conducted as an offline exam consisting of 100 objective type questions. Each question carries 4 marks, while 1 mark will be deducted from total score for each wrong answer.

The JEECUP answer key will be officially released by the Council along with the results. However, if one wishes to get UP Polytechnic answer key, he/she can get the unofficial versions of answer key which is prepared by many coaching institutes. JEECUP Result 2017

The results of JEECUP 2017 will be declared in the third week of May along with the score cards. The score card will carry the marks obtained by the candidates in the Polytechnic entrance exam as well as the qualification status for appearing in counselling. The candidates will have to download their respective score card/ rank card from the JEECUP website as the Council will not send it to any candidate.

The State Open Rank will be used for the purpose of admissions, more details will be updated by the Council at its official portal www.jeecup.nic.in. All the counselling-related processes including choice filling and allotment of seats will be done through this portal only. The qualified candidates will be offered admission based on their choices, reservation and State Open Rank of UPJEE Polytechnic through the seat allocation process.
