OTET 2017 on 25th Sept: Know the last date to apply online

The online registration process for OTET 2017 that commenced on 25th August at 8 am is set to end in next three days. The registrations will close on 6th September midnight, however, the online applications can be submitted till the midnight of 7th September.

otet 2017, otet 2017 applyWhile a handful of days are left for the candidates to fill the application for Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET 2017), the applicants are required to deposit the application fee by 11.45 pm on 6th September. The candidates can pay the fee through online or offline through SBI Collect. OTET 2017 is scheduled to be held on 25th September. The Board of Secondary Education Odisha had notified the schedule for TET exam on 19th August.

OTET 2017 will be held in two sittings: Category A (paper 1), Category B (paper 2). The paper 1 will be conducted in the morning session from 10 am to 12:30 pm, whereas the paper 2 will be held in the evening session from 2 pm to 4:30 pm. The candidates can fill application for only one paper, those giving both the papers will lead to disqualification.

Both the papers under OTET 2017 will be of 150 marks, comprising of 150 multiple choice questions. Paper 1 will be divided into 5 sections, namely: Child Development and Pedagogy; Language 1 (Urdu, Hindi, Telugu, Bengali, Odia); Language 2 (English); Mathematics; and Environmental Studies. Each section will have thirty questions.

OTET Paper 2 will have three compulsory sections such as Child development and pedagogy, Language 1 (Urdu//Hindi/ Telugu/ Bengali/ Odia), Language 2 (English), each having 30 questions. The candidates will be given choice for the fourth section from Section A: (Mathematics and Science) and Section B (Social Science), each having 60 questions.

To apply for Paper 1, the candidate must have completed higher secondary schooling with minimum 50 percent marks, plus a two-year diploma in elementary education or two-year diploma in special education. For paper 2, he or she must be a graduate with at least 50 percent marks, plus one-year Bachelors in Education (B.Ed.).

BSE Odisha will issue the admit cards to all eligible applicants on 12th September and the same will be made available on the official website of BSE. The applications for OTET 2017 can be filled through www.bseodisha.ac.in.
