CAT 2015 is scheduled to be held on November 29, 2015 by Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad IIM- A. On November 1, IMS has launched an online interactive platform called #Chat4CAT. The service has been introduced to help students brush up their knowledge and get help regarding any doubt or query. Last year also, the initiative received a good response as somewhere around 5,000 applicants got benefitted during last 15 days.
The platform is being used by IMS Learning Resources Pvt. Limited to organize a chatting session, in which over 100 faculties from over 40 different cities answer the queries of all students from all the three sections of CAT. The faculties are the alumni of top 30 B-schools of India who are currently mentors to over 10,000 classroom students in these cities.
#Chat4CAT also possesses a feature of live chat interface which makes it a real time answering tool. Even maximum questions raised by the students are answered within 300 seconds. As for this year only the students currently studying in the top 30 business schools have been appointed to answer the queries raised by the student on a real time basis.
The admit cards for CAT 2015 has been released, but many aspirants have not yet received the admit cards as their registration process has been left incomplete. This is not the fault of the organizing body but it is the fault is from students’ end. Even after so many reminders were sent, so many of them have not uploaded the relevant documents or the photograph has not been uploaded as per the specifications.
But there is still a good news for such students. Even after being so negligent, the organizing body has decided to provide these students too with the admit card provided they upload the required documents and complete the registration process for the exam.
It is also expected that this year CAT will have high level of difficulty. There will be some sea changes in the format of CAT. It is considered as one of the most competitive MBA entrance exam which is being held in India. Somewhere around 2 lakh candidates take this entrance test every year which is conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management for admissions to 21 IIMs and around 100 B-schools throughout India.
