The Odisha JEE results were initially scheduled for declaration in June first week, but surprisingly enough, the council uploaded the rank card and results on Wednesday evening.
As much as 52,565 candidates had registered for Odisha JEE 2017. Odisha Joint Entrance Examination – OJEE 2017 was conducted by the JEE Cell on May 14 in 88 centers across 21 cities. The test aims to shortlist the students for admissions to degree courses- BAMS, BHMS, Pharmacy, MBA, MCA, M.Tech, M.Arch, M.Pharm, Lateral entry to B.Tech, Pharmacy, MCA. The exam was conducted in three sitting on May 14. The admissions are done through the process of counselling which is done on the basis of OJEE ranks. Since the admission to first year of B.E./B.Tech in Odisha state will now be done through JEE Main ranks, and medical and allied courses through NEET, the number of candidates had reduced much. And that fits well when we consider that in 2016, over 30 thousand seats in engineering colleges went empty even after last rounds of counselling.
The candidates who appeared for the Odisha JEE 2017 can check their rank and result on ojee.nic.in now, a direct link is also given for the convenience of the same. Moreover, the council has also launched an mobile application but only for android users, by which you can check the results and the things to come ahead as well. The counselling will tentatively commence toward June-end.
Reportedly, Ritesh Meher has topped in the OJEE 2017 in homeopathy and pharmacy, Pragyashree Sahu topped in MBA, Ananda Prasad Behera topped in MCA, while in M.Tech examination, Amrit Kumar Jethi secured the top position.
