Odisha Postal Admit Card 2017 released, MTS exam on 17 September

Odisha Postal MTS admit card 2017 has been issued today for the Multi-Tasking Staff written exam. The written examination for Multitasking staff (MTS) under Odisha Postal Circle will be held on 17th September, 2017. The Odisha Postal MTS exam date was announced by the Postal Circle last week, but the admit card has been issued today. The candidates can download Odisha Postal MTS admit card 2017 from the official website odisha.postalcareers.in.

The Chief Postmaster General of Odisha Circle, under the Department of Posts had notified to fill vacancies of MTS in Postal Divisions, RMS Divisions and Circle & Administrative Offices under open market quota in Odisha Postal Circle. The official notification was released on 22 June, 2017. Odisha Postal Circle Recruitment was notified for filling 144 vacancies of MTS distributed as: 70 for UR, 17 for SC, 38 for ST, and 19 for OBC. The registration process for the same was carried out from 23rd June to 25th July 2017. The applicants who have registered their names successfully are required to keep the print out of the ‘PREVIEW’ of the application, copy of fee challan, receipt issued by the post office and Registration slip for the future references.

Odisha Postal Circle exam (aptitude test) will carry total 100 marks. The question paper will be divided into four parts, (A) General Knowledge, (B) Mathematics, (C) (i) English and (C) (ii) Regional Language. Each section will comprise of 25 multiple choice questions, carrying 25 marks. The candidates will be allotted 120 minutes time to complete the test.

Total number of applicants as per the total number of vacancies in each category i.e., OC, SC, ST, OBC, etc shall be declared qualified in descending order of merit based on the marks secured by them in the Aptitude Test. The minimum cut off marks prescribed by the Odisha Postal Circle for section A and B are – 10 for OC, 9 for OBC and 8 for SC/ST Candidates in each section. For Section C, the candidates are required to score at least 10 marks (for OC), 9 for OBC, 8 for SC/ST candidates in each C (i) & C (ii). The aggregate minimum qualifying marks for OC, OBC and SC/ST candidates are 40, 37 and 33 respectively. The final selection will be on the basis of aptitude test only.

Odisha Postal MTS admit card has been uploaded on the official website of Odisha Postal Circle. A soft copy shall be downloaded by the candidates from the online portal using registration number and date of birth. The candidates should also carefully check the details mentioned in the Odisha Postal admit card and contact the authorities in case of any discrepancy in the details.
