NVS Admit card for the written exam to be held in December is available now. The written exam for PGT would be conducted in the morning shift (9.30 am to 12 noon), followed by the exam for TGT, TGT (Miscellaneous) and TGT (3rd Language) in the evening shift from 2 pm to 4.30 pm. Apart from December 11, the written exam for Assistant Commissioner and Principal would also be organized on December 4. As of now, the admit card for all the exams have been released and the candidates are advised to get access to their respective admit card before the last date reaches.
Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti is going to organize the written exam in December for filling around 2,072 different administrative and teaching posts including Assistant Commissioners, Principals, PGTs and TGTs. The details about the exam date and admit card for the written exam is mentioned below.
The written exam for Principal and Assistant Commissioner is scheduled to be held on December 4, while the exam for PGT and TGT will be conducted on December 11. The NVS exam admit card for the post of Assistant Commissioner and Principal were released by the Samiti earlier, while the admit card for December 11 exam will be available from November 25. There are 2 posts of Assistant Commissioner, 40 posts of Principal, 80 posts of Post Graduate Teachers (PGT), 660 posts of Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT), 235 posts of TGT – Third Language Teachers and 225 Teacher posts under miscellaneous categories to be filled through the current recruitment process.
NVS exam for PGT, TGTs and Miscellaneous teachers will be conducted at examination centres spread across 42 cities, the exact details of venue will be available on the admit card. The candidates who have their exam scheduled for December 11 will be able to access their respective admit cards from official websites www.nvshq.org and www.mecbsegov.in.
The written exam for PGTs, TGTs, Miscellaneous Teachers and TGTs (IIIrd Language) would consist of 200 questions. 40 questions will be under first section (20 questions from General English and 20 from General Hindi); 30 questions under General Awareness section; 30 questions under General Intelligence, Numerical Ability & Reasoning section; 20 questions from Teaching Aptitude and 80 questions based on the concerned subject knowledge. Overall the question paper will have the weightage of 200 marks and the candidates will be given 150 minutes to solve the paper.
The questions will be of post graduation level for PGTs, while for TGTs, the questions will be of graduation standard. Based on the written examination, the Samiti would call selected candidates for interview. The final selection for Assistant Commissioner, Principals, PGTs and Miscellaneous Teacher (Art, Music, PET) will be done on the basis of candidates’ performance in the written exam and interview. For rest of the posts, the selection will be on the basis of written exam only.
