NVS recruitment exam for filling different administrative and teaching posts has been scheduled to be held on December 4 & 11, 2016. The admit card for 4 December exam have been released today as the written exam for Principal and Assistant Commissioner posts would be organized at Delhi only. The written exam for PGT and TGT applicants would be held on December 11.
NVS has scheduled the written exam for Principal and Assistant Commissioner posts in two different sessions; morning shift (9 am to 12 noon) and evening shift (2 pm to 5 pm) respectively. As of now, the admit cards have only been released for December 4 exam, the candidates who have their exam on December 11 are required to wait at least one more week for their respective admit cards.
The admit card can be accessed from official portal www.mecbsegov.in.
Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti had notified to fill 2,072 vacancies including Assistant Commissioner (2 posts), Principal (40 posts), Post Graduate Teachers (880 posts), Trained Graduate Teachers (660 posts), TGT – Third Language Teachers (235 posts) and 225 Teacher posts under Miscellaneous categories.
NVS Exam Pattern : The written exam for Assistant Commissioner & Principal posts would be of 3 hours duration. The exam consists of 180 questions divided among five parts :
- Part 1 – Reasoning Ability (20 questions)
- Part 2 – General Awareness (40 questions)
- Part 3 – Language Test (40 questions)
- Part 4 – Quantitative Aptitude (20 questions)
- Part 5 (60 questions) – Educational Planning and Administration (for Assistant Commissioner) & Administrative and Financial Procedure (for Principal)
The written exam for PGTs and TGTs will consist of 200 questions divided among 5 sections. The candidates will be given 150 minutes for the written exam. PGT exam will be conducted in morning shift (9.30 am to 12 noon), while TGT, TGT (Miscellaneous) and TGT (Third Language) exam would be conducted in evening shift (2 pm to 4.30 pm) on December 11.
The final selection to the posts of TGTs, Miscellaneous Teachers (Librarian) and TGTs (Third Language) will be done on the basis of written exam only, while for rest of the posts, the performance of the candidates in written exam and interview would be taken into consideration for final selection.
