NTSE result 2017: qualifying marks and cut off details

NTSE result 2017, NTSE cut offThe NTSE stage 1 exam has been successfully conducted on 4th and 5th November and per reports, near 10 lakh students were to appear for this year’s test.

The answer keys for the exam have already been released by the coaching institutions, you can check them here, but there are still a lot of questions in a student’s mind such as; when to expect the results, and what about the qualifying marks? Read on for answers!

Results

First off, since NTSE stage 1 is conducted separately by each state, the results would also be declared separately and most probably on different dates. And as we have witnessed in previous years, NTSE result 2017 may be announced on any date between December 2017 to March 2018. The states have not disclosed the result date in advance.

However, once the results are ready to be published, you will be able to read the news around the time.

Cut off

As per the official notification at NCERT website, a student of General category needs to attain at least 40% marks in each paper to qualify the NTSE stage 1 exam, whereas a student belonging to SC, ST and PH category needs to obtain at least 32% marks in each paper. A candidate needs to score at least the qualifying marks to be eligible to appear for stage 2 exam which will be held in May 2018.
