NTPC diploma trainee exam on May 28, admit card will be issued on May 4

NTPC diploma trainee examNTPC Diploma Trainee Engineers written exam will be held on May 28 and the admit cards will be available for all the eligible applicants from tomorrow i.e. May 4. NTPC Diploma Trainee admit card will be hosted at the official website www.jvdtcareers.net.

The official notification for filling 75 posts of Diploma Trainees was issued in March and the applications were filled from March 27 to April 26. The vacancies are distributed equally among three companies viz. Bhartiya Rail Bijlee Company Limited (BRBCL), Kanti Bijlee Utpadan Nigam Limited (KBUNL), and Nabinagar Power Generating Company Private Limited (NPGCL). The vacancies are further classified into four disciplines as 29 Mechanical, 28 Electrical, 16 C&I and 2 Civil posts.

As per the selection process, all the applicants will have to crack a written examination. The exam will be conducted on May 28 and the candidates will have to answer 120 questions in two hours time. The question paper will be divided into two parts: Part I (Knowledge Test) and Part II (Aptitude Test). All the questions will be framed in two languages: Hindi and English.

The Part I of the paper will carry 70 questions of the relevant disciplines, while Part II will comprise of 50 questions to test the candidates’ knowledge of English, Quantitative Aptitude & Reasoning. All the questions will be of multiple choice type and the negative making will also be applicable in the exam. 1/4 marks will be deducted from total score for each wrong response.

All the candidates will be placed in a list as per their marks in the written exam in descending order. The top meritorious candidates will be declared qualified in the written exam and will have to undergo another test, Skill Test. The date of skill test will be intimated later. The final placement of the candidates in these companies will be done on merit-cum-choice of the selected candidates.

Nabinagar Power Generating Company Private Limited is a joint venture of NTPC Limited and Bihar State Electricity Board and was incorporated in 2008. Kanti Bijlee Utpadan Nigam Limited is a subsidiary company of NTPC incorporated in 2006 under the name ‘Vaishali Power Generating Company Limited’, later the name was changed to KBUNL. Bharatiya Rail Bijlee Company Limited is also a subsidiary of NTPC incorporated in 2007.

As mentioned in the advertisement itself, the vacancies will be filled in these three companies only and the selected candidates will have no claim in NTPC Limited.
