No admission without qualifying B.Ed entrance test; says Punjab govt

UP BEd JEE 2017The Punjab government has informed that only students who pass the entrance exam will get the admission in B.Ed. colleges. Panjab University is delegated with the accountability of admissions in colleges. The common entrance exam for admission took place on 6th August, 2017. The Universities such as Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar; Punjabi University Patiala, and Panjab University connected to 222 B.Ed. colleges will be having enrolments on 2,000 seats in the colleges.

The announcement of result’s date is 12th August and the online process of choice filling for colleges is 13th August.

Around 14 thousands candidates have already applied for the course this year. This year, admission for B.Ed.’ enabling marks for General category will be 15% while qualifying marks for Scheduled Class will be 10% marks. Dr. Jatinder Grover, B.Ed. Admission Coordinator said that the entrance test will be held on 6th August in every district head offices of Punjab. He further said that control room has been built in the education department of Panjab University. Counselling sessions will be held on 3rd and 4th August.
