NMAT by GMAC: Now use Mobile for NMAT 2017 Registration

In its endeavor to connect talent with right career opportunities, Graduate Management Admission Council has started the online registration process for the MBA Entrance Test, commonly referred as NMAT by GMAC. Running in its third year, the registrations were formally opened on July 4, while the last date for NMAT registration 2017 has been set as October 14. Exam delivery will be held from Thursday, October 05, 2017 and will end on Monday, December 18, 2017. Final Announcement of Results will be made in the month of January 2018.

This year, the registration process has been made further more user friendly with new features like ‘multiple login methods’ and ‘additional payment options’. Registration from this year onward can also be made through mobile phones. Here are some fresh changes in NMAT by GMAC 2017:

20 New National and 4 International Centres

To further widen its reach, NMAT by GMAC has been made available in Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh to boost diversity in classrooms. While the 20 new test centres of India are Agra, Varanasi,Bhopal, Dehradun, Jabalpur, Jammu, Jodhpur, Kanpur, Kota, Mysore, Nasik, Patiala, Ranchi, Raipur, Shillong, Surat, Trichirappalli, Vellore, Vijaywada and Visakhapatnam. These new test centers add to the existing 55 centres across 35 cities in India.

Multiple Log In Methods

Further simplifying the registration process, GMAC has introduced the multiple login options for NMAT 2017 candidates. Considering the increased adoption of social media tools, candidates will be able to register for NMAT through Google, Facebook etc. The candidates will be able to use the auto generated One Time Password and even last year’s credentials to login and register for the exam.

Additional payment options

Candidates can now proceed with their payments through Visa / MasterCard / American Express / Debit Card / Net Banking / Diners Club / Mobile Wallets.

Candidates are required to pay a non-refundable fee of INR 1,800 plus applicable taxes as applicable towards the registration fee. Up to 5 programmes/schools are included in the registration fee. If the candidate wishes to apply to more than five (5) programmes/schools a fee of INR 200 plus applicable taxes will be charged for each additional programme/school.

Kindly Note: If the candidates wish to reschedule their appointment, they are required to pay with a credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express) only.

What is NMAT

NMAT by GMAC is a national-level MBA entrance exam for admission to many management colleges such as Alliance University, Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), SRM University, VIT University, BML Munjal University, Ansal University and ICFAI Business School (IBS). As per the rules, aspirants can appear three times for NMAT, within a year’s testing period.

The candidates will have to appear for three sections – Language Skills, Quantitative Skills and Logical Reasoning. All the sections are individually timed with total time of 120 minutes. The exam allows a candidate to choose the order in which he/she would like to respond to each of the sections on the test and self schedule the test date, time and location based on the availability of seats at each test centre. Aspirants can also register for the exam through their mobile.

NMAT by GMAC exam registered 17% growth in its test registration in 2016. Total registrations closed at 82,928 in 2016 compared to 70,950 in 2015.
