NLU Delhi opens application process for AILET 2018, negative marking introduced

The application form of AILET 2018 is now available at nludelhi.ac.in. For the first time, there will be negative marking in AILET.

The AILET online application process has been opened now by National Law University, Delhi. The All India Law Entrance Test (AILET 2018) is scheduled to be held on May 06 from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM and thousands of law aspirants are expected to be a part of the test. The online applications for AILET 2018 can be filled through http://nludelhi.admissionhelp.com. Through AILET 2018 exam, the applicants will be selected for admission to B.A.LL.B. (Hons.), LL.M. and Ph.D. Programmes for the Academic Year 2018-19 commencing from August 2018.

AILET 2018 applications have begun now and will remain open until April 07, 2018, according to the AILET 2018 notification. The result for BA.LL.B (Hons.) test will be declared on May 24, 2018. The 1st list of letters for admission will also be made available on May 24, 2018. The Interview of selected candidates will be held in last week of July.

Admission to B.A.LL.B. (Hons.), LL.M. and Ph.D. Programmes will be through AILET to be conducted at Amritsar, Bangalore, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Cuttack, Delhi, Gandhinagar, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Jodhpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, Raipur, and Varanasi.

To fulfill the eligibility of B.A.LL.B. (Hons.), the applicants must have passed Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2 System) or Equivalent Examination with 50% marks. The candidates appearing in the Class 12 examination in March/ April 2018 can also apply. For LL.M., the candidate should have LL.B. or an Equivalent Law Degree with 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/ Persons with Disabilities). The candidates appearing in final year LL.B. Examination in April/ May 2018 can also apply. For Ph.D. Programmes, a candidate should possess LL.M. Degree with 55% Marks or its Equivalent (50% in case of SC/ST/ Persons with Disabilities).

Total seats in B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) are 80, of which 70 seats are filled on the basis of the merit of AILET and 10 Seats are reserved for direct admission to Foreign Nationals on merit. For LLM programme, total numbers of seats are 35+5 Seats for Foreign Nationals. Foreign Nationals are exempted from AILET. While for Ph.D., the total number of seats is 05.

Candidates have to register and fill the application via online mode only at NLU Delhi, AILET 2018 Online Registration tab. The entire process of filling and uploading of application form along with certificates/documents will be done via online mode only. Interested candidates should apply only online on payment of Rs.3,050/- (Rupees Three Thousand Fifty Only) for General Candidates, Rs.1,050/- in case of SC/ST and Persons with Disabilities (PD) along with a copy of requisite Caste/Persons with Disabilities Certificate. Below Poverty Line (BPL) applicants of SC/ST Category are exempted from application fee.

For the first time, there will be negative marking in AILET exam. The entrance exam for B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) programme will have 150 objective type questions, each carrying 1 mark. For LL.M test, there will be 100 objective type questions of 1 mark each and 1 Essay question of 50 marks. AILET 2018 for Ph.D. programme will have 100 objective type questions of 1 mark each. For each wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.
