NIACL AO: The New India Assurance Company Ltd (NIACL) notified the recruitment of Administrative Officers (AO) yesterday. The Company is inviting applications for filling 300 AO (Generalist) posts in Scale I cadre through this recruitment. All the processes including registration, exam and result announcement would be carried out through online mode. As of now, detailed notification has been put up on the official website www.newindia.co.in and the online registration window would be opened from October 14 to November 1.
Under the recruitment process, 84 posts are reserved for OBC (Non-creamy layer) candidates, 43 for SC, 15 for ST while 158 posts are for General Category candidates. NIACL has also mentioned in the notification that most of these vacancies are in Maharashtra, Goa and Gujarat.
The general category candidates having scored at least 60 percent marks in their degree examination are eligible to apply for NIACL AO recruitment, while the reserved category candidates would be eligible for 5 percent relaxation.
The online applications for NIACL AO recruitment would be filled through three simple steps : Application registration, payment of fees and uploading scanned copies of photograph and signature. The application fee for SC/ST and PwD candidates is Rs. 100 while for others, it is Rs. 600.
The NIACL has divided selection process of Administrative Officers in three phases : Phase I online exam (preliminary exam), Phase II online exam (main exam) and phase III (interview). The preliminary exam has been scheduled to be held on December 17 at several online test centres spread across 208 cities, while the phase II online exam is tentatively scheduled for January 2017.
The preliminary exam would consist of 100 objective type questions divided among three sections : English Language, Reasoning Ability and Quantitative Aptitude. The candidates would be given 1 hour time to solve the preliminary exam and those scoring minimum qualifying marks would be shortlisted for main examination. The main exam would consist of objective test for 200 marks and descriptive test for 30 marks.
The Company would also organise pre-examination training for only those candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy layer) and such candidates would have to register for pre-exam training by November 7. The training session would be conducted in two batches per week, where first batch candidates would be provided training from Monday to Wednesday and second batch training would be organised from Thursday to Saturday. The exact dates, timings and venues of training would be informed to the candidates in due time.
