The admit card of NEET UG 2017 scheduled to be held on 7 May has been uploaded on the official website The homepage of the official website is having some issues, so one can use the direct link for downloading NEET admit card 2017.

April 22, 2017, morning update: will host NEET admit card 2017 today. The timing has not been informed by CBSE but expect admit cards release around afternoon.

The admit card for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2017 for UG admission will now be released on April 22nd at At last, CBSE provided an update on the release of NEET 2017 admit card. The official update says, “In view of the orders of Honorable Supreme Court of India to accept the applications of candidates above 25 years of age, Admit Cards will now be hosted on 22.04.2017.”

CBSE had said that it would release NEET 2017 (UG) admit cards on April 15. National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is an entrance examination for students who aspire to study or pursue medical education. The admissions are provided to the first year of MBBS/BDS courses in the colleges and Universities across the nation on the basis of ranks (candidates’ performance in the exam).

The test, NEET UG 2017 will be organised in 103 cities across the country and at over 2200 centres will be set up for the facilitation of candidates. The number of candidates who will be appearing for NEET is huge as reportedly 11.5 lakh had applied when the registrations closed in March. The number of those who applied when window opened again in April, is not been notified yet. Around 53 thousand seats in medical institutions is on offer through NEET.

Admit cards:

CBSE has not notified of the time for the release of admit cards but candidates can expect it by afternoon. Students who have filled the the online application forms for the NEET UG 2017 paper are required to download the admit cards. Candidates should note that no paper admit cards will be issued for NEET 2017, scheduled to be held on first Sunday of May month, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has said.

The candidates will have to download their e-admit cards from and take a printout thereof. When candidates will download their admit card, a photocopy of the admit card in PDF format will also be sent to their mail IDs.

No candidate without admit card will be permitted entry to the test venue. On the test day, students have to report with a copy of admit card with pro-forma (admit card attached with post card size photo duly affixed on it). Information such as the candidate’s roll number, name, father’s name, category/ sub-category, photo, signature, d.o.b., language of question paper with name and address of test centre allotted to him/her. Once download, candidate then should verify all the details and contact CBSE’s helpline for NEET in case of any defects/errors in the admit card or other grievances.


  • NEET 2017 is scheduled to be conducted on May 7th, 2017.
  • Test timings are 10 am to 1 pm (180 minutes).
  • Entry into examination hall will start from 07:30 am.
  • Checking of admit card will be done between 07:30 am to 9:45 pm.
  • At precisely 09:45 am, test booklets would be distributed to candidates inside the hall.
  • At 09:55 am, candidates can break the seal on test booklets and take out the answer sheets.
  • The latest entry to examination centre will be at 09:30 am.

After the conclusion of the test, many coaching centres will release the answer keys. However, CBSE has not official set the date for the uploading of answer keys. The results will be announced on June 8, 2017.

Other notable points:

  • The materials candidates are allowed to bring at the test centre- admit card, passport size photo affixed on the pro-forma.
  • The candidate can do the rough work on the test booklet itself, not on the answer sheet. In doing otherwise, their candidacy might be rejected.
  • Only the use of black/blue pen is allowed to write the test which will also be available at the test centres.

In it’s official notification here, the board has also went to lengths to explain about the unfair means/breaching of exam rules and also about the items you bring and bring not, dress code etc.

Any stationary item, communication device, accessories such as watch, wallets, bracelets, goggles, handbags, belt, cap etc., any eatable (water bottle too), metallic items or practically anything which might be used for unfair means, are prohibited inside the hall.

While going to take the test on the day, CBSE has instructed that candidates should put on a light dress with half sleeves (not having big buttons, brooch badge, flower etc.) with Salwar/Trouser. Also, put on slippers or sandals with low heels, not shoes.
