Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley will release the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance’s vision document for Assembly elections in Kerala. The document will be released on Saturday, Bharatiya Janta Party, State President Kummanam Rajasekharan said.
The vision document to be released, will comprise of the front’s agenda for wholesome development of the state. He also told the reporters that the as the NDA has completed two phases of campaigning and in the last leg of the campaign, central leaders of the party, including, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Venkaiah Naidu, Human Resources Development Minister Smriti Irani, will arrive here on campaign tours from early May.
Narendra Modi will be addressing five rallies which will be from May 6 to May 11. He will talk about various functions in neighbouring Tamil Nadu. His schedule is set, he will speak at Palakkad on May 6, Thiruvananthapuram on May 8, Kasargod, Alappuzha and Ernakulam on May 12.
Besides him, BJP President Amit Shah will also be addressing five rallies, beginning from May 1. Rajnath Singh would campaign in the state on May 6 and 7, Venkiah Naidu will campaign on May 8 and 9, Smriti Irani will campaign on May 8 and Sadanand Gowda will campaign for nine days from April 29.
The party’s state unit has laid out an extensive plan for the party and also for National President Amit Shah which will be extending for two weeks.
Other ministers are also expected to campaign in the election bound state including External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, Commerce Minister Nirmala Seetharam, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar and Minister of State for Road Transport Pon Radhakrishnan.
Mr. Rajasekharan said that in the first two rounds, NDA has gained an upper hand and is expecting to win in the last round as well. The result of the election will be a verdict against the corrupt practices of the Left Democratic Front and United Democratic Front. He said that the true colours of the leaders who were speaking against corruption were being exposed.
