UPSC NDA 2 exam on Sept 18: download admit cards

The written exam for UPSC NDA in 2016 will be held on September 18th and candidates can download their admit card from upsc.gov.in now.

NDA admit card has been released for the National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy (NA) II examination which will be conducted on September 18. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will organize the written test in venues at 41 centres across the country and with just 3 days remaining to go for the exam, NDA aspirants should download their admit card at earliest rather than waiting any further for last day.

NDANDA admit card 2016 were issued on August 26 and can be downloaded till 18th September. Candidates may download admit cards from www.upsc.gov.in using their registration Id or roll number. UPSC has already made it clear that no paper admit cards would be dispatched to candidates other than e-admit cards on its official website.

NDA 2 will be the second test out of two Defence Academy tests this year held by UPSC for admission to Army, Navy and Air Force wings for 138th course and 100th Indian Naval Academy Course.

The approximate number of vacancies to be filled on the results of this examination are as:

  • National Defence Academy : 355 (208 for Army, 55 for Navy and 92 for Air Force)
  • Naval Academy : 55 (10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme)
  • Total : 410

NDA exam will be conducted in two shifts on Sept 18. The Mathematics paper carries 300 marks and General Ability Test carries 600 marks. The time duration of 2:30 hours will be given for both papers and candidates will secure aggregate marks from 900. Those who clear written test will be called for SSB/Interview which also holds 900 maximum obtainable marks.

The admit cards contain the information about test centre and examination schedule of candidates. If one finds any discrepancies in the e-admit card, he/she should report to UPSC in due time to resolve the issue. It must be noted that candidates would not be permitted to test venue without their admit cards.

The guidelines issued by UPSC state that candidates should enter the exam hall 20 minutes prior the starting time of test and no one would be permitted to take the test if he/she enters 10 minutes after the examination has begun.
