Now, expectedly, Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) will declare High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) result for the board examinations within next few days. NBSE HSLC result 2017 will be published online at the official websites www.nbsenagaland.com and www.nagaland.gov.in today. Once declared, students can check their NBSE result 2017 by entering the enrolment number and other details.

Nagaland board of school education, NBSE, conducted the annual HSLC examinations from February 15 to February 27, 2017. A total of 76 schools were set up as centres for the smooth conduct of HSLC examinations in the state as near 25,000 students were to appear for the same. Of them, 22,446 students actually wrote the exams in February for which the results are awaiting on Wednesday.

Last year too, NBSE results were published on May 3rd in which 22,970 had enrolled including 6,220 students from government schools, 16,188 from private schools and 562 were repeaters. Overall pass percentage was recorded 65.42%. As per the detailed gazetted notification from NBSE’s 2016 archives, it also comes to light that the government schools had performed extremely poor as compared to the counter-parts (private schools).

Because, of 6,220 students who studied in the government schools and took HSLC examinations in 2016, only 32.81% (2,041) students qualified in HSLC results. When it comes to private schools, 16,188 had appeared and 12,863 had qualified, making overall pass percentage at 79.46%. And, of 1,288 who were repeaters, only 123 students had qualified HSLC exams last year.

However, coming back to the topic, the school education board officials and the state government too will be hoping for better results this year after a series of initiatives taken over past year to improve the education on secondary and higher secondary level in the state.
