NABARD has released the Development Assistant admit card for the preliminary exam and with it, it is clear that the preliminary exam would be held on November 10. The online applications for filling 80 posts of Development Assistant and 5 posts of Development Assistant (Hindi) in National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development were invited from August 30 to September 20.
NABARD Development Assistant exam (preliminary) is scheduled to be held on November 10 across 197 cities. The candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the preliminary exam and would have to take the main exam. The final selection would be based on the main exam and the selected candidates would be initially posted at NABARD Head Office/Regional Office.
The exam pattern for Development Assistant and Development Assistant (Hindi) is slightly different. The preliminary exam for both the posts would have two similar sections – English Language (40 questions) and Reasoning (30 questions). The Development Assistant preliminary exam would have 30 questions under Numerical Ability section, while Development Assistant (Hindi) exam would have 30 questions under Professional Knowledge (Hindi) section. In all, the preliminary exam would have 100 multiple choice questions and the candidates would be given 60 minutes to solve the question paper.
Negative marking pattern would be applicable in the preliminary exam and 1/4 mark allotted to a particular question will be deducted for the wrong response. NABARD has said that the results of the preliminary exam would be declared within a week and the list of shortlisted candidates for main examination would be released. The main exam would consist of an objective test of 150 marks and a descriptive test of 50 marks. The maximum time to solve the objective paper would be 90 minutes and 30 minutes would be given for descriptive paper.
